What are the best and worst homeowner’s insurance companies when you actually have to file a claim?

insurance policyI’ve worked with insurance companies for over 30 years, and I work with them when the chips are down; when they either do the right thing or try every trick in the book to keep you from getting what you deserve.

Remember, every claim is negotiated. I do it every day. It’s not like car insurance where the agent finds the book value and makes an award. Every home is different. Every claim is different.  Insurance companies know every place they can cut corners.

I also used to sell insurance. I don’t anymore. But I know what I was told when I was an agent (you don’t want to know). Be sure you know that I don’t get any “endorsements’ from any of these companies. It’s just my opinion.
